MANAS Membership

Should you apply for MANAS membership?

To assist the decision you probably need to consider the value of the NMAHM® to yourself, and potentially to the range of others who you feel may similarly benefit.

• Do you share the drive and vision required in supporting the NMAHM®, gathering evidence, enabling its spread, assisting in review and further developing it?


• Are you directly involved in promoting and/or disseminating information pertaining to the NMAHM®?

If the answer to either of the above is YES .... you should either apply, or enquire further by contacting MANAS.

About MANAS Membership

While the tiered membership process will not be initiated until 2010, the initial phase of formal MANAS membership is available from 1/12/09 to:

• anyone who has experienced NMA/NMAHM® through Lesley Crozier/Sheila Cozens/MovES/MovES Ltd or people known to have been directly educated in the Approach by either or both of them


• anyone who believes that s/he has experienced the NMA/NMAHM® through non-validated ie non-MovES Ltd recognised sources


• all who have an active interest in, and would be prepared to contribute to the support and development of the NMAHM®


• previous and current members of the NMAA    

Membership is recommended and will be required if:

• you may or do require verification of ability, status etc to be able to practice the NMAHM® on an occupational or professional basis;


• you already follow NMAHM® practice, and you plan to continue to use the NMAHM®, or to access other study events including updates


• you already follow NMAHM® practice, and you use, or know that use is being made of MovES/MovES Ltd NMA/NMAHM® materials or practices without necessary permissions to do so being in place;


• you plan to apply for temporary permission to use MovES/MovES Ltd NMA/NMAHM® materials or practices


• you plan to apply for a licence to utilise materials directly, or recognised to be drawn from the Intellectual Property, the NMAHM®, and/or teach the NMAHM®.

If people who have previously undertaken NMAHM® decide not to apply for membership it will be presumed that they do not wish to be recognised:

• by MANAS or by any other persons, organizations etc who may request verification of named persons in terms of NMAHM® study, ability etc through MANAS;


• as having any defined or legitimate right with regard to passing on of NMAHM® and related information to others;


• as having ability or permission to use any materials encompassed within the Intellectual Property known as the NMAHM®, or providing services in the name of the NMA/NMAHM®.

*Prospective or actual members of MANAS are requested not to engage in professional activities with non-recognised/non-MANAS members which may allow the latter to be inappropriately perceived as being NMA/NMAHM® informed, having knowledge and ability. Similarly they are requested to prevent access to, usage etc of NMAHM® information by such persons.

*Prospective members who know that they are being compromised with regard to being able to follow authentic NMAHM® practice in the carrying out of their professional duties are reminded of the personal accountability each person holds with regard to his/her individual professional practice.

If you feel that you wish to continue to be supported by MovES Ltd/MANAS, and also wish to support these organisations and the Approach please contact MANAS for advice and guidance. Any such enquiries will be treated discreetly and with total confidentiality.

Access to MANAS Membership List

The initial membership list will be used only as an information base and for the express purpose of facilitating contact between MANAS and individual members.

Future lists may be offered to members to facilitate networking.

It is not currently planned that any generation of membership list will be offered to people outwith MANAS.

However it is indicated within the MovES Ltd website that enquiries may be made to MANAS by any person regarding status of NMAHM® members.

Any response given will be based solely upon current information available to MANAS i.e. who is listed as a member.

Once the tiered membership process commences, and if requested the level of confirmed membership will additionally be indicated to any enquirer.

MANAS Membership Fees and Services

The membership fee for the period 1/12/09 – 5/4/10 will be £10.00* to cover administration costs of entry to the initial membership list, and to maintain ongoing contact between MANAS and its members.

It is proposed that a brief newsletter will be mailed to members on approximately a monthly basis.

Within your application, and ongoing contact from MANAS you will be asked for information and your opinion with regard to the range and mechanisms for operating MANAS services, etc.

Depending upon membership wishes a decision will be made between January and March regarding contact methods, and whether there would be benefit in organising a Get-together Day for membership to physically meet up with each other, and discuss relevant and necessary matters in relation to the next phases of development e.g. tiered membership; organising audit and research, etc.

* The £10.00 fee for the period 1/12/09 – 5/4/10 will be off-set against either the cost for the Get-together Day, or the next due annual membership fee (April 2010-2011).
