5th May 2011 – Attention all healthcare practitioners who use movement or exercise

Hi
Thanks for joining me.

Do you find/have you ever found that you are given information about what to do for your health and well-being?
And if so, have you always followed it through? And to the degree that it really has had the best possible result for you?

There are probably times when you have followed through more than others – but have you noticed that there has been a difference in how willing etc you were to follow up a particular recommendation?
And (if so), what the differences actually were between that, and something that you didn’t follow through with so readily, or fully?

April 2011 – Message from Sheila

Hi
Thanks for joining me here for a little while. How are you?
I’m not just saying that as most people might: I really am interested – are you as fit and well as you feel you could be/ should be for your age and stage of life?
Or are there hints that maybe things are not quite as right within you? And if you could find the ‘right action’ (and do it) you could be better again health-wise than you currently are?

During the time I have been in practice I have come across too many practitioners who have effectively allowed their health and well-being to be compromised in doing what they have chosen to do in life. Often without either realising at all – or realising the serious-ness of the developing situation.

April 2011 – Introducing the Neuromuscular Approach to Human Movement (NMAHM)®

If overall health was increasing, ill-health was decreasing in the world – wouldn’t that just be wonderful? But truth is, while improvements are being made, overall the reverse of that seems true – especially with regard to preventable disorders.

An example of this is musculo-skeletal disorders/ injuries (joints, muscles, other soft tissue compromises). In fact UK NHS statistics in 2010 reached the highest level ever (?yet) for admissions due to musculo-skeletal disorders/ injuries.

These ARE very definitely estimated by many and various authorities to be PREVENTABLE.
